Squadbook

A Discord bot for game nights

Every game your group plays, remembered.

Squadbook is a Discord bot that keeps track of the games you and your friends play together. It records who won, who got knocked out first, which decks win the most, and how long everyone takes on their turn, then turns all of it into stats, leaderboards, and achievements. It works for card games, board games, and video games, and for some of them it logs everything on its own.

Free for your group. No setup beyond picking a channel.

Played and tested at our own table

Three games it follows on its own

Any game can be logged from the card in Discord. For these three, Squadbook does the logging for you, and each has its own page with setup steps and everything it tracks.

The scoresheet

The stats people actually argue about

Not a spreadsheet you maintain. A record that fills itself in while you play, then settles the argument.

Any game your group plays

Seventy built in. Add your own in one line.

Five ways a game can end cover nearly everything: finishing order, scores, one-on-one, teams, and co-op against the game. The card adapts to each.

League of Legends

Every game logs itself.

Link your Riot ID once with /link riot. When you load into a game, a card appears in Discord naming everyone from the server who is in it. When it ends, the card becomes the scoreboard: champion, KDA, damage with its rank in the lobby, kill participation, and a Squadbook grade from S+ to D that judges tanks and healers on their job instead of their damage. ARAM, Arena, Summoner's Rift, rotating modes.

/stats champion shows how you do on one champion and who in the server is better at it. Some League achievements are hidden until someone stumbles into them.

Everything Squadbook does for League

ARAM Mayhem too

The companion app fills the gap.

Riot keeps some modes out of its public API. The Squadbook Companion is a small Windows tray app that reads your own client's history and sends each finished game in, every mode included. Nothing to press after a game, nothing that touches the game itself.

Tabletop Simulator

The table fills in the card

Drop the Squadbook Table object on your Commander table. One press sends the players, their seats, and their commanders to Discord. From there it keeps watching: every turn is timed, life totals and knockouts arrive on their own, and the game ends itself when one player is left standing. Nobody types anything.

It also reads the board. Whose battlefield each card is on, whose deck it came from, lands, hand and library sizes, commander casts, and what is attached to what. That is how achievements like Land Light, Tax Season, Keyword Soup, The Giver, and Hostile Takeover award themselves. A right-click Attach / Detach item tucks equipment and auras under a creature so they move with it.

  1. Subscribe to Squadbook Table on the Steam Workshop and load it into your table.
  2. Run /link tts in Discord and copy the token.
  3. Paste it into the box on the object. No scripting.
  4. Press Send to Squadbook. The table does the rest.

Uses Tabletop Simulator's own scripting API. No memory reading, no injection, no overlays, ever.

Everything the table object does, and every Commander achievement

Game nights, not just games

Sessions with a summary at the end of the night Events with RSVPs, reminders, and weekly repeats Seasons that reset the board and crown a champion Brackets for single-elimination nights Custom boards for speedruns and high scores Steam link to find games everyone owns, with a poll Bragging rights with /brag: a trophy case, rarity, and claims a friend confirms Spreadsheet import so your old history counts Weekly recap every Sunday evening Story of the game written from what happened

Steam

Sessions that log themselves

Link Steam once and accept a friend invite from the Squadbook Companion account. From then on, the Steam games Squadbook follows log themselves, with nothing to install. Right now that is WARDOGS. Other games on your account are left alone: nothing is recorded and nothing is posted. More get added once there is something worth showing for them.

WARDOGS shows a running profit and loss figure under your name in the Steam friends list. Squadbook reads that line while you play, records what each sitting made or lost, and keeps the daily total. /steam pnl shows your days, your best and worst sitting, and what you are up or down right now.

Opt in, opt out

Only what your friends can already see

  1. Run /steam link in Discord with your profile link.
  2. Accept the friend invite from Squadbook Companion on Steam.
  3. Play. Remove it from your friends list any time and tracking stops.

The account never sends messages, links, or trade offers. It reads the same status line your friends see, and nothing else.
