What Squadbook stores
When you use Squadbook in a Discord server, it stores the minimum needed to keep score:
- Server: the server id and name, and the settings its organizers choose.
- Players: your Discord user id and the display name you use in that server, so results can be attributed to you. Guests added by name are stored as that name only.
- Games: which game was played, who took part, seats, teams, finishing positions, scores, life totals, eliminations, win conditions, timestamps, turn timings, and, for Magic, the commander or deck used.
- Decks and loadouts you register, including any list link you provide.
- Seasons, sessions, events, RSVPs, predictions, boards, and tournaments created in the server.
- Ratings and achievements derived from your games.
- Optional Steam link: if you run
/steam link, your public 64-bit Steam id, your public persona name, and a cached copy of the games your public profile lists, with playtime. Nothing private on Steam is accessible to Squadbook. - Optional Tabletop Simulator link: a hashed token per channel and, when the table object is used, the Steam names and ids of seated players, seat colors, card names read from command zones, turn timings, and life counter values.
- Premium: entitlement records that Discord sends when a server subscribes.
Squadbook does not read message content, does not store voice, and does not track presence.
How it is used
Only to provide the features you see: cards, stats, leaderboards, reminders, and summaries inside your Discord server. Data from one server is not shown in another. Squadbook does not sell data, does not use it for advertising, and does not share it with anyone except the service providers below.
Service providers
- Discord delivers the bot and its interactions.
- Supabase hosts the database.
- Oracle Cloud and Cloudflare host the bot and this site.
- Scryfall provides Magic card data and images. Card lookups are served from Squadbook's own cache; no personal data is sent to Scryfall.
- Steam Web API and IGDB are queried only for the optional features described above.
Retention and deletion
Data is kept while the bot is in your server. Any server organizer can erase everything Squadbook holds for that server with /config delete-all-data, which is immediate and permanent. Individual players can remove their Steam link with /steam unlink. To have your personal data removed from every server, contact the address below with your Discord user id.
Children
Squadbook is for Discord users who meet Discord's minimum age requirements.
